With Ryanne being sick I didn't think that the pumpkins were going to get carved this year. It didn't help that we put it off a little later than usual either.

However, Kolin got home a little early tonight and it was time to see what we could accomplish.

Most Coachable...

It's been a busy day!

Tonight was Jadyn's cheerleading banquet. She was awarded with the most coachable award. She's definitely looking forward to next year.

Meet Minnie....

Today was Karis' Halloween party at school. Everyone got to dress up and it was a fun filled party day.

There were some great costumes! A ghostbuster, vampire, cinderella, witches and more.

Just when I was catching up....

It's been a super long week and I was so thankful it was almost over.

That was until last night when Ryanne wasn't her usual chipper self. She didn't sleep well last night and at 4am we were up and down until I finally decided it was time to get up. Told Kolin I was calling the dr. as soon as they opened.

Call the dr. and made an appt for the wee one to be seen as fast as possible. Karis went off to work with daddy. (Happy little girl and I didn't have to worry about her catching any bugs at the dr's office.)

Even though Ryanne looks awful, her ears, lungs etc all looked and sounded good. The dr. however decided to do a flu swab just to make sure.

30 minutes later I get a phone call saying that a perscription has been sent to walgreens and that Ryanne's got H1N1...or the piggy flu as we call it around here.

By the time Ryanne is through with this she'll be saying "Oink Oink Oink." If that's not enough Karis keeps singing "This little piggy" to her.....

We picked up some meds for Karis as well just to be on the safe side. I haven't got a clue as to how she got it.....but I'm hoping no one else gets it.

One can be hopeful can't they?????

Miss Patty Visit...

This morning we had our *hopefully* next to last appointment with Taryn's neurologist. We were given the go ahead to start the somewhat long process of weaning her off her meds. It's one of those surreal moments. On one hand I'm soooo exicted and the other I'm scared to death.

Since she's been on medication since she was 18 months old for her seizures, it'll be neat to see what her personality is like when they are completely out of her system.

Wish us luck that all goes well.

Preschool Field Trip

This morning Karis' preschool went to the pumpkin patch.

I always love watching the little ones play in the corn box. It's just something you don't see and I love watching little faces figure it all out. We got to feed the animals, a certain 3 year old had a small meltdown that stopped when her favorite teacher gave her some cuddle time. Then Karis decided that she needed to pick out 5 pumpkins.

Overheard in the car today....

Karis to Ryanne:

You really are the most wonderful baby.....

Last game of the season

Jadyn had her last game this afternoon. All of us went and it was quite the event due to the weather. No rain, but it was quite cold.

Of course we can't forget Miss Taryn who thought she was doing to freeze to death.

Last Cheer Practice!

Jadyn's last cheer practice was tonight. The parents were allowed to show up for the last 30 minutes and watch. The last game is Saturday afternoon. It's going to be COLD! Jadyn has really enjoyed cheering and I've got no doubt that she want to do it again next year.

Look what I can do....

Climbing Stairs!

Miss Ryanne has figured out how to climb the four stairs to get to the her room and our room. She thinks it's pretty funny to come down the hall, climb the stairs and come into my room after me.

Sleep Deprived EEG

Taryn had her sleep deprived EEG today. Kolin and I were able to keep her up until 2am. She played her Nintendo DS while Kolin and I caught up on some of our shows that have been sitting on the DVR. I was back up with her at 6am.

We will get the results at her appointment next week.

Crazy Weather!

We didn't really get a summer, fall has pretty much disappeared. While at the preschool cookout this morning, we dealt with freezing cold weather that got colder by the hour. We actually dealt with sleet and snow flurries!

It's only October 10th!

24+ months!

Taryn has made it passed the 24 month mark seizure free!

Monday morning we have a sleep deprived EEG (I hate these things!) and as long as the results come back normal, the following week we'll start slowly weaning her off her meds after we meet with her neurologist.

Isn't she beautiful?

Meet Isis.

She joined our family today. She's 8 weeks old and full of spunk. She should definitely keep Chief on his toes and busy. Hopefully he'll stop chasing the cats around the house.

Happy 11th Anniversary to us!

I never would have thought 11 years ago that we would be where we are now. That we would have 5 wonderful children and a beautiful house to call our own.

Thank you for loving me, being a wonderful daddy and being my best friend.
