Tooth #3

is making it's appearance. Ryanne's first front tooth should be all the way through in just a couple of days. These front teeth have made my generally very happy baby.....not so happy.

New Glasses...Again

Jadyn had her yearly eye appt today. Her prescription changed just a little bit. New glasses have been ordered. Jadyn went with plastic square frames this time around. Not exactly what I would have chosen, but they do look cute on her.

Pictures to come once we get the call that her glasses are in.

One too many things going on...

I made cookies tonight. Followed the recipe like I usually go. Couldn't figure out why the butter and sugar didn't cream really well, but whatever. Baked the cookies, tried the cookies. All is good.

It wasn't until Kolin went to heat something up in the microwave that I realized I forgot to add the second stick of butter to the cookie recipe......

Kolin says we should buy it

He's just kidding of course.

The apartment building we lived in when we first got married is up for sale. What made Kolin think to look it up? I haven't got a clue! But for $165,000 it and the 6 other units could be ours.

I'll have to pass......

I was told this afternoon

that Brennan is very expressive and has quite the imagination. Not to mention he's got beautiful eyes and really long eyelashes.

I thought numerous times about trying to find him some type of class or something in the area that would help him develop his imagination even more. It would be nice if he learned to channel the excess energy in other ways as well.

He loves to dance, sing, be loud and rambunctious. On the other hand he loves to play sports too. One thing is for sure...he's definitely going to keep us busy.

During circle time today

Brennan told his two teachers and 9 kids in his class that over the weekend he was sent to his room. Why was he sent to his room, you ask?

He told them that he put his head in the toilet and tried to drink the water instead of actually going to the bathroom and got in trouble.

I sure as heck didn't catch him with his head in the toilet trying to act like a dog so I called his dad and asked him. Of course Kolin had NO CLUE what the heck I was talking about.

My one and only son has quite the imagination.

What's That?

In the last couple of days Ryanne has started playing with her toys. She'll pick something up, move it all around and really check it out. Then she'll find something else that spikes her interest for a little bit and she'll repeat the whole process again. She loves to take her pacifier out of her mouth and just look at it.

It's so neat watching her do new things.

You were a naughty baby!

Brennan: "You were a naughty baby Jadyn. You pooped in mommy's tummy!"

Jadyn: "Well, I obviously had to go to the bathroom. Where else was I going to go?"

2/3 isn't bad!

Saturday afternoon we decided to take the girls to get their ears pierced. Jadyn and Karis were all for the idea. Taryn wasn't going for it at all. Being that Taryn is our total girly girl and is always wearing jewelry we were a little surprised.

Jadyn went first and had each ear done one at a time. She didn't even flinch. For Karis we decided to have them done at the same time and that was a GREAT idea. Had we tried one at a time she'd be walking around with one earring instead of 2. Karis was upset afterwards because her 'ear pretties' hurt her but she is loving showing everyone her pretty ears.

We told Taryn that when she was ready all she had to do was tell us and we'd go. She said maybe in July. =)

We can check out pics of Jadyn and Karis on our 365 days blog.

Our Crazy 365 Days

Monday, February 16, 2009

10 seconds is all it takes Ryanne to figure out that I'm not within eyesight and thus she must start crying. It's not a regular cry either. It's a I'm so sad, where did my mommy go cry.

The type of cry that breaks your heart and you have to stop whatever you're doing. The cry that makes you just want to sit down in the rocker recliner with a favorite blanket and cuddle. Cuddle with your baby who is almost 6 months old and wonder how it is that the last 5 1/2 months have gone by so incredibly fast.

It's days like today that make me remember that she is only going to be this old today and tomorrow she is going to be older.

It's time for another cuddle.......

Brennan has it in his head that the day after he turns 5 (in just a few short weeks) that he'll be starting Kindergarten. I'm still reeling from the fact that he'll actually be in kindergarten in 6 months...let alone the problems I'd be having if he actually started next MONTH!

Mother Nature

is a tease. Early last week we had temps in the low 60's. Sun was out and it was absolutely beautiful. Steadily over the course of the week the temps have dropped and it snowed tonight. We just heard the sound of the dreaded snow plow so there is at least 1-2" that have fallen.

We're all ready for spring to arrive (even though Kolin will be really busy). We want to get outside in the sun, play and enjoy ourselves.

Frosted Windows

This morning we had frost on the car windows. They of course needed to be cleaned off before we could leave this morning. After getting in the car, Brennan asked me if I was going to scratch the windows...... =)

Ears Ears Ears....

Jadyn has been asking us for quite a while if she can get her ears pierced. Kolin and I had decided that the girls were each going to have to wait until they were 10 before getting them done. However, I don't think Jadyn is going to have to wait that long (even though she only has 5 months left before turning 10.)

Tonight we told Jadyn that there is a good chance that she'll be getting her ears pierced sooner rather than later. She was so excited she actually started crying. I guess she wants them pierced a little more than we thought or she's now worried about how much it might or might not hurt.

Taryn isn't quite sure if she wants her ears pierced. We're not going to push her one or the other.

All Done!

All Valentine's have been completed. Brennan wrote his name on every single one and was quite proud of himself. Cookies for Jadyn's party are finally done as well.

Roses for mommy

This morning I was surprised with roses from Brennan and Karis. They are absolutely beautiful and I couldn't wait to take pictures of them. They are super simple to a make and Karis' were the tiniest bunch of roses out of all the kids.

Can I hold her?

"Can I PLEASE hold her? Can I give her loves? Can I hold her? I want to give Ryanne loves. PLEASE let me hold her."

I hand the baby over to Karis

2 seconds later....

"I'm done with her! Take her back!"

55 Degrees in early February? WOW!

How windows are open and the heat is turned off, sweatshirts (no heavy jackets) are on when we leave the house, new windshield wipers are on the expedition. Convertibles with tops down (driver wearing winter jacket) were seen today. The snow is melting and my freshly washed car is now a mess again, but that's ok. Every is in a fabulous mood...what more can you ask for after weeks of freezing temps?

We'll take what we can get and enjoy it while we can. Spring can't come fast enough.

Taryn's 100 Days of School Project

Making 100 frogs takes quite a while.
It definitely helps to have a great daddy with a fabulous imagination.

Jadyn's Winter Creation

Isn't it beautiful?

What a beautiful day!

It's sunny and in the mid 30's right now. Supposed to get into the 40's by this afternoon. The bone chilling cold is GONE and it feels like a downright heat wave. The expedition has been through the carwash, the kids are all happy and if it wasn't sloppy and muddy out we'd be playing outside.

I really do think that sunshine brings out the best in a person!

Wear your Jammies to school...yeah if your mom doesn't forget!

I wish I could say that I never forget anything, but it would be a lie. I forgot that it was pajama day for Brennan this morning at school. **whacking my head against the wall** I didn't have time to run back home and grab him a pair of jammies and he didn't seem upset that he wasn't wearing any jammies (it's helps that he wasn't the only one,) but I still feel really bad that I forgot.

Taryn's 100 day of school project is due on Thursday and we haven't even started on it yet. We've had some decent ideas, but none seem to be "the one!"

Yea Wipeout!

Brennan is in absolute heaven right now. He LOVES Wipeout! What's he'd really like is some new episodes of American Gladiators.
