Crazy Squirrel!

I came outside to check the mail and saw 2 squirrels playing. I went back inside to get my camera and this crazy one decided to stay.

He played a little hide n seek with me..moving from one side of the tree to another. He ducked between 2 branches to give me a smile. By the end I figured I was pushing my luck. He looked like he was going to attempt to jump on my head.

She wants what?

Tonight on the way home from cheer practice I asked Jadyn what she would like for her birthday. I was thinking ds games, books, the new Jonas Brothers cd.

Not my girl, she wants a puppy! She told me that she'll take the puppy on walks, feed, water, brush it. She'll buy the puppy chew toys with her own money.

She even told me that taking the puppy out for a potty break would be SUPER EASY because there is a fire hydrant *giggle* right close to the front yard.

Cheerleading Practice

Cheer practice is in full swing!

5th-8th graders all participate in the Petunia Festival Parade on July 5th. Jadyn is super excited and loves going...even with the temps and humidity make is absolutely unbearable to be outside.

Tonight we found out that she got picked to be a flyer. YIKES! She is the tiniest one of the bunch of younger girls and she is excited to do it. For now they are working on a small pyramid and it looks like fun.

Results!

I called the dr's office this morning to hopefully get the results of my CT Scan. After calling for my file I got a call back and got the ALL CLEAR! The dr. and staff were out of the office last week or I would have had the results sooner.

The lump is residual thyroid tissue. It happens, isn't anything to worry about and I can totally deal with it.

I can't begin to tell you how thrilled and blessed I feel at the moment.

1 month to go!

Jadyn has been counting down the days until she turns 10. This morning she informed me that in 1 month she'll be in the double digits.

Kolin and I can't believe that she'll be 10 so soon. It almost seems like we just brought her home from the hospital.

Grandma & Grandpa Visit

Grandpa Carl & Grandma Carol came up for a visit today. The kids were super excited to show them our new house and how much extra room we have. It was a great day having all of us together.

Sippy Time!

Checking out the sippy for the first time. She took to it like a champ!

Happy Father's Day!

We love you!

CT Scan

I had a CT Scan done this morning. I've got a lump in my neck that we are checking out. I've noticed that it has gotten bigger and mentioned it to my dr. last week when I saw her for a routine check-up. My dr. isn't too worried about it and we're doing the test to hopefully find out that the lump is absolutely nothing to worry about.

However, having had a CT scan done before and it coming back that something WAS wrong I was a tad freaked out in the parking lot this morning before I went into the hospital.

My dr. should have the results in a couple of days. I'll probably have the results early next week. For now Kolin and I are just trying to stay as positive as we can while waiting.

VBS!

Today kicked off our week of VBS. The theme is Crocodile Rock! The 4 older kids are all involved this year and Karis is actually going voluntarily...well for the most part. =) It wouldn't be her, if she didn't complain about going and mommy leaving her just a little bit.

Mosquitos!

These nasty little bugs are horrible this year. Not to mention that they must think that Karis is dessert! The bites have gotten so bad for her that she immediately swells up. We've gotten some prescription antibiotic for the bites and then have to cover them up. It's taking them forever to heal.

We did pick up an Off! ClipOn. A friend of mine has used one and loved it. It works great! I'm just not sure that I'm going to like paying for the refills. Of course if it helps keep Karis bite free it will be worth it.

A fun time!

We made it through both movies last night at the drive in. Ok, 5 of us made it through both movies. Karis sacked out in her chair 20 minutes after the first movie started and Ryanne didn't last much longer than that.

It rained a little bit, but nothing we couldn't handle since we brought both vehicles with us. Smart thinking on our part because we weren't all crammed in the Expedition once the rain started.

Next month they plan on having a couple more family nights. I'm hoping we'll be able to go to one of them.

Drive-in Tonight!

We're lucky enough to have a drive-in movie theater about 10 minutes from us. We try to go at least a couple of times during the summer. Tonight is 'family' night. UP! and Race to Witch Mountain are playing.

Everyone is excited! Friends are joining us, I'm sure we'll all have fun!

Sleeping in.....

Usually 3 out of the 5 are up and running by 6:30. Lately though they've been sleeping in until almost 8 and sometimes later. Yesterday morning we had no where to be (hasn't been the case recently) and Ryanne slept in until 9:45!

I have no doubt that they are extra tired from being outside and playing most of the day. The older 4 are really enjoying our new backyard and the extra freedom a fenced in yard brings.

If you don't like color.....

You probably won't like our house. =)

Pizza Party!

Today was report card day for Jadyn & Taryn. They had to go to school long enough to go to the playgroup blacktop and get their report card from their teacher. After that it was time to leave. I can't believe that Jadyn will be in 5th grade, Taryn in 3rd and Brennan in kindergarten in just a few short months.

Afterwards we had some friends over for a school's out pizza party. We had 21 kids in the backyard playing with plenty of room for more. Everyone (the kids and moms) had a fun time! It's soooo nice that we now have the room to have people over and not have to worry about how everyone is going to fit.
